Kinara, on the north branch of the Siglap MRT station, is a well-frequented restaurant, for both tourists and local diners alike, and does not appear to suffer from a shortage of visitors due to the beautiful surrounding food scene.

Its kitchen, like that of any self-respecting Indian restaurant, features chicken tikka, murgh peshawari, and seafood such as ajwaini machli tikka. Of course, there are many variants of naan to choose from – from garlic and mint to ones with cheese!

Quite impressed by the number of good stalls here at this coffee shop. From the roasted delights, to the bak chor mee, to the nasi padang, I was genuinely quite surprised. Or just take a cab here. only a spoon, coconut milk, brewing ground, minced pork bros, chocolate desserts, pork belly, fresh fruits

Brötzeit is heimat cuisine (that’s ‘homeland’ to you and me) for a heinous carnivore. Take your pick from the house speciality, a crispy oven-roasted pork knuckle, marinated in draught beer for 24 hours, rubbed down with a secret spice mix and accompanied by a cleansing sauerkraut and potato salad: Brotzeit.

The oven-roasted ribs are yet another choice for your taste buds to savour: they come in three flavours: Smoky BBQ, Klassiker (slightly garlicky, beer and barbecue-intoned sauce is the flavour here), and Szechuan Art (Szechuan peppercorn adds another dimension of heat). All this should be washed down with beers from their varied range to complete the feast.

Key Differentiators

  • Enjoying authentic German cuisine
  • Not pricey
  • Various promotions

Customer Testimonial

Perfect place to have Oktoberfest kind experience.. very good collection of German craft beers and sausages. Curry wurst is best. Surprising they have quite a few options for vegetarians. Spinach pizza is highly recommended.
